The #SEA-50 is an extremely robust battery voltage regulator!
No fancy lights, meters, bells or whistles. Nothing to break!!!
Just a simple, tough voltage regulator encased in water proof plastic.
Works on any voltage battery bank build in sections.
"A BULLET PROOF SYSTEM"
Our wind turbines produce unregulated D.C. voltage and may require a charge controller for non-grid connected applications. Batteries can take higher charging voltages during charge up but once they are full any additional charging power must be diverted away.
The modern way to monitor your battery from over charging is to have a diversion load that performs another task such as heating water when your battery is in danger of over charging. Shutting down the output of your wind turbine or your other renewable energy devices is old school thinking. Now-a-days most people dump their excess power into some other legitimate device optimizing their energy independence.
Our wind turbines do not have charge controllers inside the PMA. Our philosophy is to keep all the electronics easily accessible at ground level and as close to the battery or grid feeder as possible. Raising and lowering turbines is not a fun job so you'll want to put as few components as possible on the top of your tower. Having a charge controller 40 feet in the air is very inconvenient to adjust, monitor and service to say the least!
Do it the right way and use the load diverting "DUMP LOAD" philosophy!
Regulate your BATTERY instead of your AE device
A battery regulator does NOT regulate wind turbines, solar panels, hydro power or any other energy producing device. The SEA50 only regulates the BATTERY from over charging powering a 'diversion'
